We make no excuses for how we prioritize the teachings of Jesus Christ and the principles that He left us while walking the earth. All we do, in fact, are based upon what He has done in the past and we credit that mind-set of relying on His teachings for all our successes in our YOOL Fest effort as well as our efforts in other areas such as our business, ministry and personal life. As it pertains to prayer, we do not deviate from this mind-set of relying on Jesus' example and as such, we have included below a few examples from The Gospels that we have deemed to be pertinent to the subject of prayer and the legacy on the subject that Christ has left behind for our benefit and success in this spiritual area. We hope you will join us every first Tuesday via conference call as we take our requests to our Christ.
Matthew 6:5-6 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Luke 11:1-2 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
